Dr. Carr Vineyard joined the Carrell Clinic in 2011. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and attended Highland Park High School where he was captain of the Varsity football team. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biomedical Science. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio, where he graduated first in his class and earned numerous awards including election to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. His subsequent internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio allowed him to discover a passion for surgery of the foot and ankle. He was awarded a prestigious fellowship at Duke University under the supervision of some of the best foot and ankle surgeons in the country where he mastered complex orthopedic problems as well as severe traumatic injuries.
As a well-respected doctor in his field, he has been asked by his colleagues to write several book chapters on disorders of the foot and ankle and has also published several scientific studies in top industry journals.
Dr. Vineyard specializes in the comprehensive management of foot and ankle disorders including fractures, arthritis, sports-related injuries, Achilles tendon disorders, avascular necrosis, bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, and flat feet. In addition, Dr. Vineyard enjoys treating sports-related and traumatic injuries to the hip, knee, ankle and foot, focusing on minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques when possible.
Dr. Vineyard is a leading expert in Ankle Replacement surgery. He has a passion for helping people walk and alleviating the pain related to ankle arthritis. He utilizes the most cutting-edge implants and surgical techniques to provide excellent outcomes.
When he’s not working, Dr. Vineyard enjoys laughing and watching movies with his wife, exploring the world and playing sports with his three children, playing the drums, travel, and various shooting sports. He has also served on the board of several philanthropic organizations around Dallas.
Dr. Vineyard has privileges at North Central Surgical Center, Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, and Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Vineyard is a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
